Professional Profile

Stacy Miller joined Extension in 2018 as the Director of Extension Human Resources.  Prior to joining Extension, she practiced law at Stoll Keenon Ogden, PLLC and was a member of the firm’s Labor, Employment & Employee Benefits practice group. Ms. Miller concentrated her legal practice on employee relations counseling and civil litigation with emphasis on the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Kentucky Wage Act and the Kentucky Civil Rights Act.

Ms. Miller has co-authored several publications including:

  • UK/CLE Employment Law in Kentucky Handbook, “Discrimination Based Upon Disability,” Chapter 6 (4th ed.) (2013); and
  • Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, The Kentucky Employee Benefits Guide (3d ed.) (2017).

Ms. Miller a member of the Fayette County, Kentucky and American Bar associations as well as the Society for Human Resources Management.

Education

Ms. Miller is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law where she was a member of the Kentucky Law Journal. Ms. Miller earned her Master's degree from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky.
