Recovery Garden Toolkit
Recovery Garden Toolkit: To support the Recovery Gardens Project, UK Extension had developed a collection of resources to help Extension educators successfully collaborate with recovery centers on gardening projects. The primary goal of this toolkit is to increase the sustainability and impact of recovery gardens. It brings together peer-reviewed research with existing tools and advice from Kentucky CES staff who have worked with recovery gardens to offer:
- Tips and ideas regarding existing financial resources and peer support networks to build a recovery garden program.
- Planning tools, links to videos, handouts, and other materials to develop a gardening program at a recovery center.
- Best practices for using de-stigmatizing language and choosing a leadership style that is effective and empowering for recovery clients.
