Extension Publications and Scholarly Resources

A primary role of State Extension Associates, Specialists and Faculty is to provide scholarly resources to stakeholders. This includes an array of individuals, such as our county staff, as well as clientele across the state and beyond. There is no question that each deserves research-based information relevant in meeting current needs. As a result, we must always strive to give those who access our materials the confidence in knowing that what we provide is credible and specific to the issues they are facing.  

In 2022, University of Kentucky Extension implemented a new process for producing and publishing Extension publications and scholarly work. Guidelines were put in place to emphasize that premiere scholarly resources generated by our state-level Extension professionals should be peer-reviewed. Guidelines to follow for ensuring that high quality products have met UK CES standards can be found by accessing the documents to the right.
